In 2008, Baptist own Dr. Brad Aiken published the science fiction novel Mind Fields, while Dr. Michael Ozner published his expanded version of the Miami Mediterranean Diet. Baptist nurses worked on getting their Evidence-Based Practice Model published in nursing literature, including Topics in Advanced Practice Nursing online. The model was developed by Pat Collins, Kathy Sparger, Susan Golembeski, Milly Selgas, Nancy Burke, and Bonnie Vaughan. 1996 was the 20th anniversary of the Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute. Online, the OVID database interface changed in 2008, one of many changes and expansions to E-Resources that the library offers for Baptist staff to access.
