In 1996 the Library Letter was offered for the first time in electronic format. This year the hospitals merged with Baptist Health Systems of South Florida, including a system wide library service. In 1996, Dr. Tom Naidich was the editor of the new International Journal of Neuroradiology. Other publications include Shore Party and Other Tales of War by Michael Harac, Walt Disney World for Lovers by Gayle and Rick Perlmutter RN, and Asbestos Medicine on Trial by South Miami Hospitals Ilan Feingold MD. This year the library at Baptist Hospital was formally named after long time Library Committee member Dr. Marvin "Bud" Jaffee.
